Massage

As well as being an enjoyable experience, massage has its own benefits. By encouraging the release of long-standing physical and emotional tension, deep relaxation can occur and a sense of vitality and well-being are restored. Remedial massage treatment works on the circulatory, nervous, lymphatic, digestive, respiratory and muscular systems of the body. It therefore covers a wide variety of problems including headaches, neck and back problems, muscle and joint disorders, digestive problems, circulatory disorders and respiratory conditions.

Tui-na is the name given to a certain form of traditional Chinese massage.

Swedish remedial massage and tui-na massage have similarities. Tui-na translated means ‘push grab’ and so the main difference is that it tends to be more vigorous and involves pressure on specific acupuncture points.
